French, Andwele L.,
43, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. Andwele was a life-long educator and former basketball coach, having taken medical leave in 2017 from The Academy @ Shawnee. Andwele was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Leon French. He leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Audra N. French, children, Angeliah Lenay and Andwele L. II, his mother, Sandra French, sister, Asha L. French, brothers, Ahmed L. and Akeem L. French, sister-in-law, Nola Nichols, grandparents, Rev. Thomas H. and Virginia French, Etta D. Rowell and Sam F. Turner, aunt and uncle, Linda French-Smith and Herbert Smith, Jr., nieces, Asali French, Jazmen Chenault and Asia Sims, and a host of dear cousins, including first cousins, Hope and Herbert Smith III, great aunts and uncles, friends, godchildren and brothers of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Family visitation on Friday evening, July 7, 5:00 to 7:00 PM, followed immediately by tributes from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Hill Street Baptist Church, 2203 Dixie Highway. Celebration of Life, Saturday, July 8, 11:00 AM at Hill Street Baptist Church, followed by interment at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane.
