Angela Elam Lawrence, 59, passed away on February 1, 2025. Like many women of her generation, the titles of Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Cousin and Grandmother; were the ones that had the greatest influence. On March, 22, 1965 she was the 2nd born to Willie James Elam and Vernottah Willis Elam in Chicago, IL.

Angela was beautiful, very elegant and fearless, and was a take charge Aries. Angie was Always smiling and laughing. Every day was a new adventure and a day to be heard. Angie was her sister’s protector and shield against the world always, through life and up until death.

Angie is survived by four sons, Diomie James Elam, Kevin Lee Jones Jr., Gavin Michael Gates, and her youngest son, Kristian Anthony Jones; her, Mother Vernottah Willis Elam and father, Willie James Elam (Deceased); one eldest brother, Edward Earl Elam (Diane); three sisters, Pamela Yvette Elam, Donna Babette Elam, and Nicole Jamia Elam Guerrero (Elvis). She also leaves behind three beautiful grandchildren, Jamela, Harper and Aviana.  Angela will surely be missed and forever loved in our hearts forever.
