Arthur H.L. Bivens, 79, passed away on August 14, 2024. Services will be Thursday, August 22, 2024 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Galatian Missionary Baptist Church, 2020 Maryland Avenue, Jeffersonville, IN.
In addition to his parents, Addie Marie Hamilton and Clarence Bivens, Sr., Arthur is preceded in death by his wife Angela O’Neil-Bivens; Son, Allen L. Bivens; Granddaughter, Mari Marie Dawn Nelson; Sister, Jerrie Darnell; and Brother, James Darnell.
Arthur is survived by his five surviving children, Daughters: Robin Nelson (Sterling), Mitzi Turner (Julius), Legoldia Bivens. Sons: Terrance Bivens (Jennifer) and Arthur H.L. Bivens Jr. 7 Grandchildren, Sterling Nelson Jr., Donald Edwards, Brandon Anthony, Termaine Nelson, Terrel Bivens, Britney Bivens, Keisha Bivens and Malik Bivens. Step-grandchildren, Redania Alberg (Mike Gerrard) and Amaya De Kijzer. 20 Great-grandchildren. Sisters; Canary Collins, Cynthia Booth, Brothers; Rev. Clarence Bivens, Warren Darnell, (Katleen) and Steven Cooper. Numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and a host of friends.
