Barbara Jean Cosby, 76, passed away on March 8, 2024. Funeral services will be Friday, March 22, 2024 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1018 S. 15th Street. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Laken Cosby, Jr., and her sister Sharon Lynn Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Annie Pearl Davis Clay, son Jonathan Clay Cosby (Wesley), one grandson Julian Calvin Cosby, goddaughter Vanessa Williams, her sister Brenda Morris, nephews Charles Davis, and James Swan, Sr., niece Shawn Hodges, great nephews Dominique Davis, Jaydan Pitts, Avrion Hodges, and James Swan, Jr., great niece Jamaria Davis. Her memory also lives on through the extended family of stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and a community of friends who found kinship in her embrace.
