Brian Christopher Reed, 47, passed away on May 25, 2023. Services will be Thursday, June 8, 2023 beginning with 11 a.m. visitation and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.

A Louisville native Brian attended St. Columbia Elementary. Born to a faithful Christian family he attended Elim Baptist Church. After finishing school at both Trinity and Shawnee high schools Brian trained and became adept in in many trades including electrical and construction work. He was also an accomplished barber as a hobby. He was a charismatic loving man, with a true yearning to connect emotionally and spiritually with others. Brian is loved will be missed and remembered, by a large immediate family and a wealth of friends and loved ones. All of which will remember him fondly, another of Christ’s children retuned home.

Brian leaves to mourn his passing his four children, Destiny, Brian, Jr., Briana, and Carana; his mother, Mrs. Ester (Chris) Farnsley; his grandmother, Mrs. Queen E. Reed; two brothers, Alfred N. Reed, II (BJ) and David Harris; one sister, Marheá Harris; two uncles, Twyman Reed (Cincinnati, OH) and Alfred L. Reed; two aunts Sonia Reed and Daphne Hickman (Chicago, IL); one nephew, Kyler Reed; two cousins, GwendeLynn Reed and Isaiah (Alicia) Reed (Hampton, VA), and a host of other family and friends.
