Carolyn Jean Hinkle, 81, passed away on January 4, 2025. Services will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Burnett Avenue Baptist Church, 6800 S. Hurstborne Parkway. Interment will be in Pewee Valley Cemetery East, Pewee Valley, Kentucky.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her daughter Bobbie Jean Hinkle; three grandsons, Keith Anthony Hinkle, Michael Anthony Winters and Cameron J. Williams; three sisters, Daisy Banks, Tillie Durham, and Fannie Thornton; and one brother, Marvin Durrett.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Doris Lee, who was also her best friend; six children, Betty Franklin, Charles Hinkle (Priscilla), Constance Means, Nedra Young (Michael), Teresa Hinkle Jones (Ronald) and Kevin Hinkle; a god-daughter, Min. Angela Hasty whom she cherished; 22 grandchildren, Delorean, Ashley, Antoine (Maya), Tywan, Brittany, Brandon (Amani), Jasmine (Millicent), Aubrey, Kayla, Brooke, Kevon, Kamaria (Jeremiah), Nyasha, Victor, Jazmine, Cheyenne, Kedrene and Javontay; and 15 great-grandchildren, Vanna, Kaleb, Kyndra, Kaniya, Nayla, Alyssa, Landen, Jade, Amaya, Scarlet, Kenlea, Ramir, Ari, Merci and Brycen.
