Green, Cherie M. (Ricketts) Rucker-Dodd, 60 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was an Employee of Whitney M. Young Job Corp for 15 years. She also worked for Jewish Hospital and was a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Donald Green; children, LaTonya Ricketts, Mark Rucker Jr. (Valita), Lolonda Mensah (Edward) and LaNisha Rucker; mother, Essie M. Brown-Ricketts; siblings, Cheryl Ricketts-Reed (Robert), Carla Ricketts, Joseph Ricketts, and Jeffrey Ricketts; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Friday August 25, 2017 with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church, 2400 Howard Street. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery. Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.
