DeQwan Ford, 14, passed away on July 19, 2019. Services will be Monday, July 29, 2019 with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Drive.
DeQwan was born to Shawn Hancock and Greg Ford on September 19, 2004. DeQwan graduated from Ramsey Middle School and was about to begin his journey as a Freshman of Waggener High School. DeQwan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tawana Ford Bethel.
DeQwan was fun-loving with a contagious laugh and smile. He enjoyed playing football and basketball in the community and was the family’s personal ESPN…he knew everything about sports! He loved music, playing video games and girls (smile). He was a breath of fresh air.
DeQwan is survived by his loving mother Shawn Hancock and father Greg Ford; siblings, Dorian and Ciara Turner, Jasmine, Greg Jr., D’Montray, and JeVonte Ford; along with a host of aunts, uncles, other family members and friends.
