He is survived by his wife Clora Owens; children, Karla and Edward Jr. Owens, Jonita Johnson, Roderick Gray and Marlon Walker; siblings, Teresa Jarrett, Jacqueline Owens, Rita Olive, Chandra Guthrie, and Charlotte Turner; and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 with funeral service to follow at noon at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive and interment in Green Meadows Cemetery. Arrangements by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston St.
