Elvira Trice, 69, passed away on November 29, 2024. Services will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.

Elvira worked as a CMT (Certified Medical Tech) and Activities Coordinator for many years, where she was loved and liked by many. Elvira was preceded in death by her parents Charles Prather and Louise Chinn, her husband: Richard Trice Jr., her siblings: Diane Perry, Betty Prather, Redd Prather, Sharon Chinn, and her son Calvin Trice.

Elvira is survived by her children Rosetta Trice, George Trice (Tanisha), Elizabeth Trice, Mary Johnson (Dejuan) and Rodney Trice; step-children, Ruby Bard, Richard Trice III; (Stephanie), and Monty Trice (Monique); siblings, Charles Prather, Jr., Lillian Yarbrough, Robert Chinn, Jeffrey Chinn, Sr., Andrea Chinn-Little (Richard), Kimberly Chinn, Jacalyn Jefferson, Kenneth Chinn, Willie Prather, Theddus Prather, Mary Prather-Short, Stephanie Prather-Strickney, Rosemary Prather-Henderson, Sandra Prather-Taylor, Gail Prather-King, Lynne Prather, and Barbara Green; 21 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Elvira will be truly missed. She has touched many people’s lives and will be remembered always for her loving, caring, strong, extraordinary, mindful, beautiful, warm, and friendly gentle spirit.  She may have left this world, but her ever-loving spirit will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her.
