Floyd Robert Flanigan, 82, passed away on January 28, 2024. Services will be Friday, February 9, 2024 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at One Accord Ministries, 3605 Dixie Hwy. Interment will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
Floyd retired from Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center after 31 years of service and enjoyed his time fishing and spending time with friends and family, he loved people.
Floyd is preceded in death by his son James Eric Flanigan; siblings, Daniel, Marvin, Philip, Ozell, David, Mozell Jones, Cecille Buckner; and brother in law Richard Thurman
Floyd is survived by his children Floyd Jr, Melissa and Santana Beard; he is also survived by sisters Shirley Thurman, Rose (Perry) Kerney of Orlando, Florida; brother, Kenneth Flanigan and his friend & forever family Carolyn Alexander; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
