Jamerica Rohonda English, 49, passed away on March 25, 2024. Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, April 6, 2024 with visitation beginning at 10 am at Portland Memorial Baptist Church, 3802 W. Market Street.
Jamerica is survived by her loving mother Sylvia Chambers English; caring husband Jemond Groves; five beautiful children Chyyanne English, Carl Hinkle Jr., Charoya Taylor, Cimora Taylor, and Camona Groves; six amazing grandchildren Jasiah Cole, Javon Hopkins, Kaniya Martin, Aniya Miles, Kari-eon Bethel-Hinkle, and Zakair Scott; as well six wonderful siblings Jerri Wells (John), Letha (Joy) Hall, Lamonsherrie English-Maddox, Lamanda English-Lovell, Jamoca English, and Dacema English-Stigall. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded by her father Boyd E. English, brother(s) Ralph Foster, Boyd E. English Jr, and sister Evelyn English-Bell.
Jamerica was called home March 25, 2024, even though physically gone, her presence is still felt. With this presence comes peace and acceptance, let the ones you touched know that you are still here, watching, laughing, and sharing your stories through their memories.
