Williams, Jessie James Jr., 76, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife Mildred Williams; children, James Simpson (Trena), Monteres Mathes, Malisa Thornton (Norris), and Yolanda Willis; siblings, Virgie Cooley (Cliff), Pinkie, Nancy, and Barbara Williams, Henry Williams, Robert Williams (Victoria); Veronica McWhorter, and James Neal; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin 12 noon Saturday, October 28, 2017 with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson St. Interment will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
