Louisville – Joe R. Nelson, Jr, 55, passed away on February 8, 2022, in Pontiac, Michigan. Services will be held on Saturday, February 19th beginning at 11am with visitation and funeral service to follow at 1pm at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr Drive, Louisville, KY.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Jonetta (Adrian) Thompson; four grandchildren, De’Kaven Nelson, Ka’Mya Nelson, Adrian Thompson Jr., A’riyah Thompson; parents Carolyn (Richard) Burnett and Joe Robert Nelson Sr.; grandmother, Selika J. Montgomery; six sisters, LaVerne (Barry) Williams, LaTonya (Greg) Blount, Christy Dye (Emiko Terry), Yolanda Burnett, Sheena (Pastor Tim) Lawrence, and Candice (Zae) Cousin. five brothers; Mitchell (Lanona) Nelson, Damian (Patricia) Glasper, Denny Glasper, Rodney (Jill) Nelson, and Cameron Nelson.
