Johnny Lee Williamson “Spud”, 71, passed away on February 14, 2024. Services will held at Bates Memorial Baptist Church, 620 Lampton Street, beginning with visitation on Sunday from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral will be 12 noon on Monday, February 26, 2024. Entombments will be in Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, February 27th.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Phildea W Rucker and Johnny Cairo, his sisters Juanita Adams and Donetta Williamson, his brother James Wickliffe, and his two sons LaShoan M. Morris and James Morris.
He leaves the beautiful memories of him to be cherished by his wife, Deacon Brenda Davis Williamson, his daughter BaSwana Sankfo, his brother Bryan Cannon, stepdaughter Charlotte Morris, stepdaughter Schaneaka Roberts (Michael), stepson Theodore “TJ” Johnson( Robin) stepson J.R. Davis, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
A special acknowledgment to his friends who were more like brothers; Fred McCampbell, George Jones, Kenneth Simmons Sr., Terrence Howard aka Chill (his barber), and June Bug, to name a few.
?Johnny had a smile that could warm your heart.
