Kenneth Gregory Waller, 72, passed away on February 23, 2025. Services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025 beginning at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at First Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1159 Algonquin Parkway. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Kenneth “Kenny” Gregory Waller was born in Louisville, KY to Albert Henry and Elizabeth Waller on January 14, 1953. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and savior and was baptized at First Gethsemane Baptist Church at an early age. A 1971 graduate of Male High School, Kenny went to study at WKU on a
track scholarship for the triple jump. Kenny proudly served in the United States Army. He will be remembered for years to come as a supervisor
at Louisville Metro Youth Detention Services previously known as Jefferson County Youth Center (JCYC) where he worked to make a
difference in the lives of so many young people. On a regular day, you could find Kenny watching the Young and the
Restless or UofL sports with his wife of 9 years, his best friend Evelyn. Kenny was loved by so many and was known as a stern but gentle giant.
He loved his grandchildren, and he loved to eat…but no cheese. He was always busy tinkering around the house or attending events for his
grandchildren.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Henry and Elizabeth Waller, brothers Curtis and Michael Waller, stepson Thomas Griten Jr.
and former wives Yvonne King and Teresa Hobbs. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Evelyn Waller; Aunt Georgetta
Smith; Sister Rhonda Waller; Son Shamon Waller (Candice) Daughter Nikkia Houston (Kendrick); Grandchildren Shaelyn Waller, LyMontre’
Marsh, and Kennedy Houston; Great Grandchildren Lilliana Marsh and Taytum Pickett; Children by Love Ronald Hathorn (Evelyn), Adrianne
Griten, Kevin King, Stacey Walden (Justin), Kimberly Gantt (Harlee), and a host of extended grandchildren, family, and friends.
