Obituaries

I was just made aware of the passing of dear Lisa. My mind immediately went back to those childhood days at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School where we learned together and played together. Lisa was in my youngest brother's (Phillip Brooks) class (he always had something great to say about Lisa), and Angela was in my class. Andre was a year younger than me. Although we grew up and eventually travelled along our perspective pathways, I still have those fond memories of the Battle family. When my baby sister, Emmarette, passed away from cancer in 1981, Angela reached out to us and her heartfelt sympathy was very, very comforting. At this time I regretfully reciprocate with my deep and sincere sympathy to the Battle family, and especially to the children of Lisa in the loss of their dear mother. May God be to you all everything that He was to me and my family during our time of loss. Bless you all. Ps. Angela, thank you very much for your prayers and support back when we needed it. It made a big difference.
