Martez Rayshawn McAtee, 28, passed away on May 3, 2025. He was born to Carita Ann Young and the late Marvin Richard McAtee, Sr. Martez was educated in the Jefferson County Public School system and later got his GED. As a child Martez was raised in House of Praise, Inc. Later in life, Martez received his Culinary Trade Certificate. He loved cooking. He could cook a shoe and you’d still ask for seconds. He could also cook a rock and somehow make it tender. He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Maliyah Rae McAtee (Qua) and Londyn Dior McAtee (Morgan); son Jacori Hadder (Shantelle); mother, Carita A. Young; his grandmother, Charita C. Young; uncle US Navy Captain Leroy Young; brother, Marvin R. McAtee, Jr.; sister, Velise McAtee; grandmother, Deloris McAtee; great grandmothers Mrs. Joanna E. Young and Mrs. Odessa Riley; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Saturday, May 10, 2025 @ 12 noon, New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive in Louisville
