Maudrine Quarles, 93, passed away on December 7, 2023. Services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 beginning with visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 1051 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.
Maudrine is survived by five children, Dorothy Ann Webb, George Quarles ( Wanda Quarles), Marilyn Shumake ( Michael Shumake), Sharon Johnson, and Emmanuel Quarles; one sister, Zenita Lynn Stephens ( Eric Stephens); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Maudrine was preceded in death by her brothers RV Carter, Marion Carter, Rollie Carter Jr., and her three Sisters Nora Lee Forest, Claudia Mae Cates, and Dorothy Christine Reed; and son, James Mitchell Quarles.
