Obituaries

Meagan Olivia McQuany, 36, passed away on March 19, 2025. Services will be Tuesday, March 29, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at New Horizon Baptist Church, 2202 Dixie Highway.

Meagan’s greatest pride and joy were her three beloved children—Jordan McQuany, Joseph McQuany, and Jayla Dougherty. She was a dedicated and loving mother, always supporting them in everything they did. Meagan’s love for her children knew no bounds, and she devoted herself to their happiness and well-being. In addition, she is survived by her niece/daughter, Shaniya Sanders, and her daughter-in-love, Nevaeh Cannon, who will continue to carry her spirit and love in all that they do. 

Meagan is also survived by her parents, Sandra Goff McQuany and Nathan Allan McQuany, her siblings Lawanda Goff Price (Roderick), William Goff, Lakeisha McQuany, and Nicole McQuany Golston. She was preceded in death by her brother, Nathan McQuany Jr., and her grandparents, Bennie Gross and Joseph D. McQuany. 

Meagan’s legacy also lives on in her nieces and nephews: Preston Robinson, Atiyana Smith, Tanejha McQuany, Geneva Burgos-Meza, and Jalen Hightower, as well as a host of family and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.  

Meagan’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and a legacy of kindness. She will forever be in our hearts, and her spirit will live on through the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Rest in peace, Meagan. You will always be loved.
