Melvin, Charles Curtis, Sr., 82, passed away on March 6, 2025. Services will be Wednesday, March 26, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.
Melvin leaves to cherish his memory five sons: Anthony Swain, Michael Gates, Reginald Curtis, Jeffery Curtis, and Melvin Charles Curtis Jr.; three daughters: Cynthia Curtis, Judith Curtis, Lamonica Smith; and a brother, Edward Lee Curtis Jr. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ovetta Craighead and Barbara Jean William (infant).
