Merlin Duncan, 75, passed away on April 15, 2023. Services will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 beginning with visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 443 E. Kentucky St. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

A devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend, he was proceeded in death by his mother, Henson Bomar, and brother, James Hughes. He also leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate his life, wife, Gail Duncan, two sons, Derrek and Flenoil (Latoya) Duncan, an adopted daughter, Ebony (Josh) Bridges; and five grandchildren, Darren and Brandon Duncan, Alexius Shorter, Darien Rice and Josh Bridges as well as four siblings; Justina Sanders, Samuel (Melissa) Hughes, Artilla Cooper, and Elijah Clifford (Mary) Hughes and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
