Oluseye Bolu Akano Ajagbe, 55, passed away on February 27, 2025. Services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street. Interment will be in Petersburg Newburg Cemetery.

A devoted servant of God, loving family man, and innovative entrepreneur, Oluseye Bolu Akano Ajagbe, left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched.

Born on March 4, 1969, in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, Oluseye hailed from Durosoto (in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State), a community he loved dearly. He was born to Elder Elijah Biodun Ajagbe and Evangelist Florence Funmilayo Ajagbe. Oluseye grew up in Ilorin, where he spent his formative years. He began his educational journey at Lajiki Community Secondary School, graduated from the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, and furthered his studies at the University of Ilorin.

On November 7, 1998, Oluseye married his beloved wife, Mrs. Adeola Oluwabunmi Ajagbe, and together they had four beautiful children. The family initially resided in Lagos until 2007, when they relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, where Oluseye continued to pursue his passions and entrepreneurial endeavors.

As a website developer, domain merchant, and businessman, Oluseye was a trailblazer in the tech industry. His dedication and innovative spirit earned him the 2024 Award as the Best Tech Hub by the Nigeria Internet Registration Association.

Oluseye’s faith was his guiding force. He became born again in 1988 and remained steadfast in his devotion to God. Psalm 46:1 was one of his favorite Bible verses, and he often found solace in the words of his favorite song, “Oyigiyigi Olu Orun…”. He was constantly involved in propagating the gospel through various mediums, including the erection of evangelistic billboards, production and distribution of tracts, supporting outreaches, and providing for the needy and widows.

As the firstborn of his family, Oluseye took his responsibilities seriously. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and played a vital role as the priest of his extended family, often receiving revelations from God that guided the family and loved ones.

Oluseye’s impact extended beyond his family. He was a proud patriot and a passionate advocate for his local community. His love for Nigeria and its people inspired him to make a positive difference in the lives of those around him.

Though his time on earth was short, it was full of life. Oluseye’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His family, parents, siblings, friends, the body of Christ and community will deeply miss him, but they take comfort in knowing that he is now at the bosom of His Maker.

Rest in peace, Oluseye Bolu Akano Ajagbe. Your memory will be a blessing to us all.
