92, was born in Henderson, KY on June 12, 1923, the eldest of three sons born to Posey Sr. and Margie Griffin Taylor.  The Taylor family relocated to Louisville, KY where Posey Jr was later baptized at Green Street Baptist Church and graduated from the Old Central High School.

Posey enlisted in the US Army and served in numerous locations throughout Europe during World War II.  He was a recipient of the EAME Theater Ribbon with 5 Bronze Stars; the Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

Posey hailed from a family of local business owners and was the successful owner and master mechanic of Taylor Auto Service for over 40 years where he trained and worked with his three sons.  Like his brother George, Posey had a love of flying and was trained at Bowman Field by Tuskegee Airman Julius Calloway to earn his pilot license.  He was a 33rd degree Mason and a Brother of the Order of Elks.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lillie Masden Taylor; two sons, James and Dwayne Taylor; granddaughter, Stacey Taylor; his parents and two brothers, John Alvin and George Robert Taylor.

He is survived by his two daughters, Eula Fox (James) and Uronda Woolfolk (Jeff); son, David Lee Taylor; sister-n-law, Phyllis Twitty-Taylor; daughter-n-law, Odessa Taylor, 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew and a host of cousins and friends.
