Sharonda Monyel Martin-Richardson, 48, passed away on May 29, 2023. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m.

Sharonda Monyel Martin-Richardson was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Willa Martin of Jesup, Ga (who proceeded her in death) and Wayne Ballard of Louisville, Ky. She was raised in a small town Jesup, Ga.  Sharonda graduated from Wayne County High School in 1994. 

Sharonda Monyel Martin-Richardson enjoyed the Louisville Cardinals, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She always ensured that her family was well taken care of.

Sharonda Monyel Martin-Richardson was a loving grandmother, mother, and sister. She was proceeded in death by her husband Clarence Richardson Sr. , her mother Willa Martin, and her grandmother Lillie Hollon. She was a mother of eight loving kids, including:  De’Andre Jackson, Andrea Richardson, Jamontae Martin, Alexis Richardson, La’Quan Richardson, Porcha Richardson, Asia Richardson, and Clarence Richardson Jr. She was the grandmother to two: De’Andre Jackson and Mason Jackson. She was a sister to four: Tawjuana Martin, Tarshia Martin, Dominic Shoulder, and Stephon Ballard. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
