Steven McCoy departed this life on April 11, 2023 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY. He was born September 24, 1981 in Hampton, VA to the Late Selene Stokes. He was preceded in death by his Mother Selene Swazest Stokes, his Step-Father Ronny E. Stokes, Sr. His Maternal Grandfather Larence Sturghill, His Maternal Grandmother Thelma J. Valentine, and Aunt Mona Lisa Edmonds.
He received his education at Denbigh High School in Newport News, Virginia, and afterwards worked as a General Laborer.
He received his first Christian experience in 1984 where he became a membered of Bethel C.O.G.I.C in Hampton, VA. Later in life he rededicated his life and was baptized in Christ as an adult.
He loved his family and leaves to mourn behind his grandmother Jonell Sturghill; three siblings; sister, Tasha D. Towns and Jason (husband); two brothers; Ronny Stokes III and Christopher Stokes; niece, Natalie J. Towns; nephew, Roman Stokes; and a host of relatives and friends.
