54, was born May 9, 1962 to Morgan and Tina Tinker. She was the baby of the family and was lovingly nick named Chumpy by her father. She graduated from Seneca High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University and Kentucky State University before coming home to earn an associate degree in Fashion Retailing from Spencerian College. On October 25, 2001 Tara was blessed with the love of her life, her son Dominick Pendergrast, and decided to return to college to earn a degree and state certification in medical records. She was hired by Nortons Medical Records Department where she remained until her passing on October 15, 2016.

Tara leaves behind her son Dominick Pendergrast; one sister, Doris Tinker Bailey; five brothers, Donald Taylor, Charles Nelson Tinker, Robert Rush Tinker, Arthur Lee Tinker, and Phillip Tinker; six nieces and nephews; J’Cheta Henderson, Shontee’ Tinker, Constance Sullivan, Eric Brown, Derrick Brown, and Antwan Tinker; and a host of great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.  She will be welcomed to the kingdom by her mother and father; her sister, Dixie Tinker Wilkins; and brother, Marvin Alexander Tinker.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Newburg Church of Christ, 4700 E. Indian Trail, with interment in Petersburg Cemetery.  Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street. www.economywithdignity.com/obituaries
