William Edward Williams, 70, passed away June 28, 2020. He was a cook at the Jewish Community Center. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Greater Israel Baptist Church, 1509 W. Magazine Street. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Louisville Cemetery. William is survived by his children, Tiffany (Cedric) Bridges, Michael (Janette) Gaines, Sr. Timothy Dobbins (Tonya), Carlos Gaines, Sr. (Danielle), Tyrone (Robin) Dobbins Sr., Donte Williams, and Chauncy Craighead; stepchildren, Wesley and Erica Mayes, Terrance Dobbins, Anthony (Candice) and TeMia Payne; 29 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Beth) McDonald, Robert (Beatrice) Mattingly, Michael Perry (Tiffany), Ceasar (Nina), Thomas (Rev. Sheree) and Marvin Louis (Dwan) Williams; sisters, Deborah Hammond, Minister Patricia Martin, Phyllis Owens, Etta Perry (Donnie), Linda (David) Paige and Jane Williams (Donnie); brother-in-laws, Stephon and Darynell Mayes; sister-in-laws, Jessie Carpenter (Robert) and Rev. Marsha Mayes-Burton (Howard); nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
