Mary Rose Hardin, 98, passed away on September 18, 2021. Services will be Saturday October 2, 2021 with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. and funeral service at 1 p.m. at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1018 S. 15th Street with Interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Services will also be available via livestream at www.ssclive.tv Mary Rose Hardin was born in Nelson County, Kentucky, on April 6, 1923. She was educated in the Nelson County School System, and later married her true love, the late Charles Hardin. Together they built a life founded on I Corinthians 13. She was the owner and operator of Mary’s Food Shoppe. Mary Rose also worked many years as a line assembly operator at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant. During her spare time, she was a jewelry consultant, and after a rewarding career, she retired as a home health care specialist. Mary Rose professed her love for Jesus Christ early in her youth and was baptized at Samuels Baptist Church. In her later years, Mary Rose joined St. Stephen Baptist Church (Louisville, KY) and made Gospel Missionary Baptist Church (Louisville, KY) her second church home. Bright and early on September 18, 2021, the Lord dispatched his Angels to carry Mary Rose to her Heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her soul mate, husband, and best friend, Charles Hardin; her parents, George and Mamie Rhodie Miles; 12 siblings: Baby Girl Miles (firstborn of the Miles children who passed away shortly after birth), Stanley, Rebecca, George Lyder, Amy Eileen, Louis Sr., Louise, Melvin, Essie Mae, Catherine “Auntie,” Marvin and Leon. To cherish the laughs, light, love, and memories, Mary Rose leaves behind her most precious creations– two (2) daughters: Delores J. Wardelle and Patricia A. Franklin; six (6) grandchildren: Vauzaskia Y. “Lossie” Wardelle, Roshon Wardelle, Deondra R. Wardelle, Kendra Carter, Cecile (Jason) King, and Wayne Wardelle; nine (9) great-grandchildren: William D. Elliott, Jr., Lucretia Jackson, Kia L. Earsery, Jerome A. Earsery, Jr., Jason Lee Merriweather, Mackenzie Fountain, Chloe Carter, Daniel Jackson Fountain, Me’Lysa King; four (4) great-great-grandchildren: Daniel (Amanda) Johnson, Kyle Elliott, Ayanna Follman, Ja’Vaughn A. Earsery and two (2) great-great-great-grandchildren: Desmond Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and many loving friends. |
