Laretta P. Council

Laretta P. Council, 58, passed away on January 25, 2022. Services will be Tuesday, February 8th will visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.

Loretta will forever be cherished by her siblings, Kenneth Wayne Council (Ursula Coleman), Gladewater, Texas and Alesia Gayle Council Floyd, Louisville, Kentucky. One grandson, Tahjae Devon-Keshawn Council, Savannah Georgia, and one granddaughter, Ajuanty La’Belle Council, Irvington, New Jersey. Three nieces, Kristy Ann Council, Kimberly Javon Council, and Amber Kalesia Floyd, Three nephews, Marcus Wayne Council (Denisse), Michael Jerome Council (Hope), and Jeremi Keith Floyd (Sherezz).  Four great nieces Shanya “Cookie” Thompson, Jamiyah Kelis Floyd, Mia Isabella Council, Maylea Rose Council, and Amariah Justice Wimberly. Two great nephews Guillermo Hernandez, and Kaleb Dean Council.  Loving aunts, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
