Arthur L. McDonald

Arthur L. McDonald, 69, passed away on July 6, 2023. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 18, 2023 beginning with visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston St. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery. 

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Louis McDonald and Lucinda McDonald; brother, Thomas R. McDonald; sisters, Mary Wadlington, Deloris Cox, Shirley Harvey, and Catherine McDonald, and son, Versellias Hammond.

Arthur leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Dewayne McDonald; daughter, Marquita Renee Allmon-Moore (John); son, Antwan Elliott; long-time friend of the family Connie Elliott; four grandchildren, Sellyssa Hammond, Kayla Hammond, Kaiden Atwood, and Christian Daniels; and host of nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
