Brooks, Mary, 52, passed away July 3, 2015. She is survived by her children, Tamera Brooks and April Carter; mother Stella Brooks; siblings Vanessa and Wilson Brooks, Perry Slaughter and Gayle Russell, and three grandchildren, De’Varte Conley, Sylvester Banks, Jr., and Alexis Banks. Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Friday at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive, with funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Interment in Green Meadows Cemetery.
