Joseph Looney, Sr., 91, passed away on May 21, 2024. Services will be Saturday, May 25, 2024 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at N Street Baptist Church, 2914 S. 6th Street. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery,

In addition to his wife Dorothy, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Florence Murphy; his grandson, Jorail Looney; and his great-grandson, Donte Harbison.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memories in his passing, his children, Joseph Looney Jr, Shirley Wicks, Laurice Looney, Joyce Mason, Vivian Jackson (Shelby) and Robert Looney (Denise); eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Pelham; one brother, Jerry Fykes; his companion, Mary Pickett; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
