Dion R. Smith

Dion Ramon “DJ” Smith, 21, passed away on May 18, 2024. Services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 3960 Cane Run Road.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Michael Marks; and his best friend, Robert Biggers.

DJ leaves to cherish his special memories, his mother, Michelle Eddie; father, Dejabbar Shabazz, two sons, Damoni Smith, Darien Smith; their mother, Ramoni Collins; five brothers; Mion Smith Sr.(his best friend, inseparable since birth), Dominique Washington, Jordan Smith, Daminik Smith, Hakeem Smith; two sisters, De’Asia Smith (his confidant), Michaela Shanks; two beloved grandmothers, Laverne Smith, Beverly Metcalf; grandfather; Robert James; a special nephew, Mion Smith Jr; and a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and few close friends.
