Emily Jean Tharpe

Emily Jean “Jeanie” Tharpe, 69, passed away on June 1, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. June 12th at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. She was a member of Spillman Memorial Church and a 35-year employee of Humana. 

She was born on February 14, 1955, in Louisville Kentucky to Helen Boyd and Hulon Tharpe. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Kendra Lee Trice (Hilary “Big Man” Spencer); grandsons, Keyvon and KyiRee Spencer; brother, Edward “Junebug” O’Bannon (Sheryl); sisters, Delicia “Lisa” Boyd (Kinte) and Doris O’Bannon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
