Theresia L. Hughes

Theresia Laverne Maddox Hughes, 77, passed away on October 20, 2024. Services will be Saturday, November 2, 2024 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Burnett Avenue Baptist Church, 6800 S. Hurstborne Parkway. Interment will be in Simpson Memorial Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Hughes, two brothers and five sisters, two grandsons Tremayne Smith & Davon Maddox. Left to mourn her passing are her five daughters, Gwendolyn, Faye, Dawanda Maddox; Latia & Katrina Hughes; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren. Her siblings Margaret Harris, Darryl & Dana Maddox and the Shelby siblings; her best and closest friend Norma J. Maddox her dear friend Freeda Morris-Louthan in addition to a host of friends, nieces and nephews. She was the glue to our family. Her Spirit will forever live in our hearts.
