Mary A. Benford

Mary Alice Benford, 90, passed away on March 4, 2025. She was a cleaning service retiree and member of House of Praise Church and concluded her stewardship at Zoe Christian Fellowship Center. Services will be Friday, March 14, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Faye Nannie (Lawrence) and Gayle Short (Donnell); one sister, JoAnna Young; grandchildren, Shawn Johnson, Tameca Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, IV, Lawrence Nannie Jr., and Tiffany Lumpkin (Falcon); twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
