Sylvester T. Thornton

Sylvester “Tyrone’ Thornton, 40, passed away on April 4, 2025. Services will be Friday, April 18, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at the Spirit of Love Center, 4107 W. Market Street. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Sylvester was employed at Kroger for over two decades, where he enjoyed going to work and helping people. There he gained the nickname “Mr. Kroger”. His presence will be greatly missed here on Earth, but we know he is joining his Granny, his Uncle Curtis, and a host of other relatives in Heaven.

Sylvester leaves behind his mom, Diana Thornton, his sister, Clarissa Vinson; and brothers, Phillip and Patrick Lewis, He also leaves his Kroger family; aunts; uncles; several cousins; and many friends.
