Tyra Lashay James, 52, passed away on April 11, 2015. Services will be Thursday, April 24, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.

Tyra is preceded in death by her sister, Creecy Furman, and brother, Ronald Tandy, Jr. Tyra is survived by her husband Fredrick Jones; six children, William Tandy, Angelo Watkins, Charles Holt, III, Taranic Tandy, Terea Merriweather, James Cornish; her siblings, Yvette Person, Deanna Tandy (Rick), Charles Tandy Sr, and Darlene Tandy; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
