A’yanna Lanay Wilbanks, 19, passed away on May 14, 2026. Services will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson Street. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery,

A’yanna was born on July 13, 2006. From a very young age, she became a beloved member of Sherry’s family. She graduated from JCPS in 2024. Following graduation, she dedicated herself to mastering the art of hair styling, specializing in braiding. Her passion and skill earned her the title of the best braider in Louisville.

A’yanna’s radiant smile could light up any room. She was cherished by her family and countless friends. Though her life was short, it was filled with joy, laughter, and an abundance of love. A’yanna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A’yanna leaves to cherish her memories her parents: Sherry Johnson, Arnetta Wilbanks, and Rodney Johnson; Brothers: David, Desmond (Jasmine), Gregory (Briana), Rashad, Rakim, Rodney Jr, Cordero, Andre, Dujuan, Marquise. Sisters; Datroya, Rodneisha, Escoda, and Jo’Nika and a host of aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
