At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, Louisville, Kentucky. She attended Parkland Junior High. She later devoted herself to caring for her family as a homemaker. Although she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the beautiful memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her precious memories three sons: Anthony Lamont Forrest; Henry Forrest (Tiffany); and Timothy Dickerson (Robbie); and four daughters: Fontella Forrest (the late James); Fonda Dickerson (Gurvase); Leedra Dickerson (Todd) Edwina Dickerson (Rob); her siblings: Kenneth Forrest, Johnny Ray Forrest, Alvin Forrest, Mae Ewing (Lee), Ludnetta Forrest, Nadine Forrest, and Debra Forrest (Darryl). She was preceded in death by her late husband, Henry Louis Dickerson; brother, Albert Lee Forrest; and her son Eric Forrest. Edwina leaves a legacy of love to a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom will forever cherish the memories of her life. Her presence brought love, strength, and warmth to those around her. Though she is no longer with us physically, her love will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” | |
