William Albert Stokes

Stokes, William Albert “Bill”, 62, passed Monday May 1 2017. He is retired from Stephen Baptist Church. He attended The Lincoln School and graduated from Louisville Male High School Class of “73”. He was also a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He leaves to cherish his memory a beloved wife Belinda Stokes (Brooks); three sisters, Maynita Stokes, Lori Brown, Rozella Durham; and one brother Morris Stokes (San Diego, CA.); daughter Adrienne Everette, two step sons, Kevin Brooks Sr. and James Brooks Sr. (Apryll); grandson Jaa’Lnye Everette; three step-grandsons, Elijah Wheeler, James Brooks Jr. Kevin Brooks Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at St Stephen Baptist Church, 1018 S. 15th St., on Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services: Wednesday at 12 noon with burial Green Meadows Cemetery.
