Charles R. Thomas Jr.

Thomas, Charles R. Jr., 68, passed away on July 29, 2014. at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. He was a retiree of Yellow Freight Company after 25 years of service and a U. S. Army Veteran. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Shirley D. Thomas; his daughter, Serlene Morrison, two siblings, William and Robert Thomas; two grandchildren, MiAndra “MiMi” Bell (Sam) and Rashad Morrison; two great-granddaughters, Alayna and Alyssa Bell who loved him dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive, Rev. Dr. Thurmond Coleman, Sr. officiating.
