Othello Louis Marshall, Jr., 66, passed away on October 10, 2025. Services will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 beginning with visitation at 1 pm and funeral service to follow at 2 pm at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Othello L. Marshall, Jr. was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 8, 1958 to Barbara Alice Russell Smith and Othello L. Marshall, Sr. Othello was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Alice Russell Smith; father, Othello L. Marshall, Sr.; step-father, Chester Lee Smith; brothers, Eric W. Marshall, Malcome G. Marshall; and step-brothers, Romano L. Smith and Chester L. Smith Jr. Othello “O.T” attended Western High School in Louisville, Kentucky, left high school to join the US Army in 1979.After being discharged from the Army, OT went on to JCC to get a degree in Business Management. After that he went on to work for National City Bank. In 1990, he moved to New Jersey, to start working at Express Script. After retiring from Express Script in 2017 for time to time he would work part time at Garda Security and GQ Unlimited. During his retirement he would enjoy his hobbies such as Wine Tasting, Art Shows, Jazz Clubs, and Traveling. But the one key factor in his life was that he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Othello leaves to remember his legacy his sons, Jasper White of Paterson, NJ and Austin Marshall-Lowry of Louisville, KY who blessed him with six beautiful grandchildren, Jasmine White of Paterson, NJ, Addison Lowry, Amiyah Lowry, Amir Lowry, Alijah Lowry and Amelia Lowry of Louisville, KY; his sisters, Sheree L. Mercer and Armanda M. Barber; step-brothers, Othello W. Fisher, Dane Fisher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. | |
