Alan Lamont Jackson, 62, passed away on September 18, 2025. Services will be Friday, September 26, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.
Born on November 6, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was preceded in death by father, Marion Martin; mother, Barbara Jackson; sister, Stara Jackson, and brother, Sterling Trice.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Stara L. Jackson; his brother, Joseph Mucker; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Alan Jackson attended the Jefferson County Public School System. He went on to work as a contract remodeling laborer. Alan was an avid University of Louisville fan and enjoyed dancing and singing. He also had a playful side and occasionally loved to dress up. He was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
