Anna Jean Board, 65, passed away on May 5, 2026. Services will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service at 12 noon at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Anna Jean was born June 15,1946 to Mary and John Board in Louisville Ky. She was the first of five born to Mary Anna Board. She was effectively known to many as “aunt jean”. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Anna loved basketball, football, and tennis. You will always catch her wearing black and red or purple, black and gold.

Anna had a passion for the arts; she loved painting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, reading, and solving 5000-piece puzzles, she loved all these things almost as much as she loved her family. Although she had no children of her own, she played a vital role in all of her nieces and nephews lives.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband Darryl Williamson, Mom Mary Board, Dad John Board, and Nephew Keith Board, Sister Earnestine Thompson.

Anna is survived by her siblings James Miller (Edith), Peter Board, Sandra Hurd (Charles), Sherry Board. Her nieces; Elonda, Lisa, Shanita, Kathy, Carla (patches), Tedra, Shatasha, Candice, Marquita, Brittany, Mya, and Marchelle. Her nephews; Theodore (T3), Trenelle, Shdell, Marcus, Montaze, Timothy (peanuts). And a host of great, great great, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
