Obituaries

Cadero Robert Battles, 40, passed away on April 14, 2023. Services will be Friday, April 21, 2023 beginning with visitation at 12 noon and funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Burnett Avenue Baptist Church, 6800 Hurstborne Pkwy. Interment will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.

Cordero met and married the love of his life, Amy Britton, in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 11, 2011, and into this union they became a blended family of seven. His life and legacy will be remembered by his wife, Amy; and his children, E’mya Black, Elisia Black, Keiarrion Battles, Ryan Booth, Cordero Battles Jr., Caleb Battles, Cali Battles, and one grandchild, Gaia Black; his brothers Willie Lynch III, Kevin Lynch and Wisdom Lynch; his sisters, Natalie Yates, Alicia Lynch, Precious Lynch, Akilah Madry, and Jamila Madry, and his grandmother Audrey Washington. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Battles and his sister Essence Lynch, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends who will always cherish him forever.
