Calvin Dewayne Smith, 58, passed away on October 13, 2026. Services will be Thursday, October 22, 2026 beginning with visitation at 12 noon and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home, 951 S. Preston Street.

Calvin Dewayne Smith was born May 3, 1968 to Delois Smith and Robert Ballard at Louisville General Hospital. Calvin’s Mother, Delois, preceded him in death along with his father Robert Ballard and older sister Renita Parker and Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. Calvin attended Eastern High School and was loved by his family and friends. Calvin was a very respectful man, hard worker, and giving person. He loved to have a good time with his siblings, all of his cousins, and friends.

Calvin will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Calvin leaves to mourn his passing his sisters Gail Smith and Sharon Smith; his brothers Victor Smith, Robert Smith, and Steven (Shareka) Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles Frances (Marvin) Pimpleton, Robert (Anna) Smith, and William Edward Smith; and his dear friends Tonya Martin and Mr. Townsend.
