He is survived by his children, Brandi Loy, Carl, III, Christien, Bryan, Jesse, and Jaylen Russell, Brittany and Brandy Downey, Jai Jackson, and Jimmy Ganus; mother, Barbara Harris Russell; step-mother, Marcella Russell; siblings, Steven Spalding, Lynda Russell, and Karla French. Funeral will be 12 noon Saturday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 3315 Dixie Hwy with interment in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday at the church. Professional services by Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons, 951 S. Preston Street.
