Carl Leo Wright, Jr., 69, passed away on July 2, 2023. Services will be Tuesday, July 11, 2023 beginning with visitation at 10 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Bates Memorial Baptist Church, 620 Lampton Street. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Carl is survived by his mother Geneva Wright; siblings, Jerry Summers, Cecil Wright, Darlene Ingram (Melvin Sr.) and Frederick Wright; nieces and nephews, Thomas Summers, William Summers, Jr., Shannondora Summers, Catina Toogood, Makeeba Summers-Edmund, Jerri “JP” Summers-Davis (Dale), Melvin Ingram Jr. (Porshia), Deanna Wright, Chenille Wright, Cierra Wright; and host of other relatives and friends. Carl Jr. is preceded in death by his father Carl L. Wright, Sr.; brother, William Summers Sr.; and nephew Dedrick Schultz.
